RAPSody - Ride Around Puget Sound : Aug 22-23

RAPSody Bike Ride

Enjoy the scenic back roads of five Washington counties while supporting statewide bicycle advocacy and education on the Sixth Annual Ride Around Puget Sound. Ride Around Puget Sound.

With 170 miles of rolling hills, doing RAPSody in one day is hard, two days is challenging fun. All event proceeds are donated to the Bicycle Alliance of Washington.

The event is organized by B.I.K.E.S. of Snohomish County, The Capital Bicycle Club, Tacoma Wheelmen's Bicycle Club, Cyclists of Greater Seattle, and West Sound Cycling Club in support of the Bicycle Alliance of Washington's statewide advocacy and education. Scenic 12-, 30-, 65- and 100-mile courses in lovely Kitsap County, rest stops and full sag. New family-friendly route. Run in conjunction with Silverdale Annual Whaling Days Festival. Arrive a day early & join the community events.

3-day, 172-mile, fully supported bicycle tour. Ride Snoqualmie, Blewett & Stevens Passes, average 60 miles/day, exceptional food stops. Benefits Child Abuse Intervention Dept. at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

Aug 1 : 8 Lakes Leg Aches Bike Ride - Spokane

Aug 9 : TRYBR (Tenino-Rainier-Yelm-Bucoda Rally) - Tenino

Revel in the quiet of rural Thurston and Lewis Counties, enjoy views of the Skookumchuck and Deschutes River, the llama farm and Mt. Rainier. 5 loops (20 to 100 miles) follow scenic, low traffic roads.

Aug 22 : Tour de Lentil - Pullman

Enjoy the scenic Palouse Hills on this 100 km ride. Course is challenging with many hills. Starts at 9am. Part of the National Lentil Festival. Come for the ride, stay for the parade, food and other weekend activities.

Aug 22-23 : RAPSody - Ride Around Puget Sound - Tacoma

A challenging 1- or 2-day ride. 175 miles of rolling hills. No ferries, uses Narrows bridge. Great food, sag, cue sheet, socks, rest stops. $10 discount to BAW members.

Sep 20 : Chuckanut Century Ride for Hospice - Bellingham

Ride one of the most scenic rides in Washington. Distances range from 25, 50, 62, 100 or the double metric century of 124 miles. Ride support and food stops.

Sep 20 : Cycle the WAVE presented by REI - Issaquah

Sponsored, non-competitive, all-women's bicycle ride for women of all ages and fitness levels. Purpose of event is to encourage women toward fitness through cycling while raising funds for Eastside Domestic Violence Program and awareness of domestic violence.

Sep 27 : Headwaters Century - Enumclaw

Choose from 45-, 65- or 100-mile loop starting at Enumclaw High School. Ride on a plateau in a rural area with little traffic. All routes are generally flat with some rolling hills. There is one 1.5-mile long hill near Black Diamond. The 100 includes a Mud Mountain Dam climb and descent. 2-3 rest stops per routes, mechanical and sag support. Don't miss the finish line dessert!

Oct 3 : Manastash Metric Century - Ellensburg

Annual tour through the Kittitas County. 100 miles to Suncadia, 62 miles to Cle Elum, 33 miles to Thorpe, and 11-mile rides available. Weather is usually sunny and pleasant.
